The aim of a nutrition and life-balance therapy is to support you in making the correct choices which suit you and your lifestyle the best.
Although the quality and quantity of what one consumes is very important for our well-being, nourishment refers to far more than food. Our state of mind, our emotions, our habitat, who and how old we are, are all considered to give an effective consultation.
Based on Ayurveda, Chinese Medicinal Nutrition and Common Sense, I will provide you with simple knowledge and guidelines to help you towards a balanced and sensible approach to food as well as learning cooking methods which best suit you and your lifestyle.
The consultations examine both the nutritional and life-balance aspects of your well-being.
The Butterfly Effect
There is a theory, coined by the MIT scientist Edward Lorenz, called: The Butterfly Effect which grants the power to a butterfly flapping its wings in New Mexico to cause a hurricane in China. Though the process is long, the connection is real. If the butterfly does not flap its wings at just the right point in space/time, the hurricane would not happen.
The essence? Small adjustments in the initial conditions lead to significant changes in the results. Our lives are an ongoing demonstration of this principle. Our bodies as well.
Our body is powerful, strong and infinite like the universe – yet delicate and finite, responding constantly to the ebb and flow of time. It is a beautiful creation which requires fine tuning and respect, as well as the flexibility to adapt to change. We understand this as the balancing of Yin and Yang.
Originally Yin and Yang were words describing weather conditions and the movement of the sun. The term transformed into an entire philosophy of living – through which it is possible to attain a state of good health and satisfaction with our lives.
We will examine for imbalances present in your energy system as well as evaluate the foods you eat, the habits you keep and your daily routine. We look at your lifestyle as a whole, taking into account the amount of physical excercise you partake in, your age, temperament, lifestyle and family situation. We use observation and tongue, pulse and body analysis to get a more subtle picture of your needs.
